Fire destroys apartment linked to drug activity rumors

Iraq announces unilateral cease-fire in no fly zones

Iraq’s Revolutionary Command Council led by Saddam Hussein announced a unilateral cease-fire in the allied patrolled no fly zones. It says no further attacks on U.S., French or British planes will occur through the inauguration of President elect Clinton. The cease-fire takes effect at 11 p.m. CST today as a goodwill gesture toward the Clinton administration and the American people.
