Inside job suspected in Union Station mail robbery
Chicago January 18 five youth bandits robbed a U S mail truck at Union Station, fleeing in an automobile with twelve mail sacks, ten containing registered matter. Police say the pouches included part of the federal reserve bank money shipment. They surprised three postal employees guarding the pouches and forced them at gunpoint. The bandits worked quickly and escaped.
