Millionaire Doctor Shoots Bookkeeper on Street
Dr Charles F Simmons a reputed millionaire and president of Simmons Patent Medicine Co shot Emil Davidson bookkeeper for the St Louis Trust Co at Cardinal avenue and Olive street at 11 15 pm. Passers by heard words and five shots followed. Simmons claimed Davidson attacked his daughter and avenged a wrong. This was Simmons third deadly affray with prior stabbings in Mississippi and on a book keeper Mec Bruin.
