Viaduct forms Kansas traffic peak on I 70 and US 24
Kansas Highway Commission released a state map showing 1972 traffic flow. The intercity viaduct across the Missouri River linking Kansas City Kansas and Kansas City Missouri carries about 71 500 vehicles daily. The least traveled road is Kansas 25 west of Russell Springs in Logan County with 50 vehicles daily. Overall rural state highways rose 5.3 percent from 1971, including the Kansas Turnpike.
