W W Peck of Wichita died Friday afternoon at St Francis Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survived by widow Della of the home, daughter Mrs Ralph Campbell of 1311 W 19th Terr, a son Kenneth Peck of Dallas, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A basement fire at the Green Lantern Cafe 745 Mass St Friday near 11 p m was checked by a passerby before heavy damage. Fire Chief John Miller noted potential smoke fixture and wiring losses could raise the total. The blaze began in the rear basement where glassware was stored and cartons were involved. A passerby alerted police after seeing smoke from a grate.
