Amos A Lawrence presses for Episcopal ministers in Kansas
On November 21 1856 Amos A Lawrence praises Samuel Reynolds for efforts to secure Episcopal ministers for Kansas settlers. He denounces conservative church leadership delaying missionaries, notes the arrival of Reynolds's brother Rev Charles Reynolds in 1857 and 1858, and mentions Trinity Parish and Trinity Gravel, with concern over Governor Geary's impartiality. The original letter is held by Clarence Reynolds, son of Samuel Reynolds.
