Ida Tames charged with keeping disorderly premises pleaded not guilty and set for January 15. Wm Clay charged with disorderly conduct pleaded guilty. Nicholas Johnson, disorderly conduct, $15.59. Rachel Cow booting in West Lawrence, $15.50. F Warner, Henry Spencer, Charlie Brown, and Floyd Walker all charged with disorderly conduct and fined $15.50 or $15.50 with costs. Floyd Walker convicted of selling liquor to West Lawrence, fined $50 and costs and jailed thirty days. WCT to meet in the Watkins building at 3 pm tomorrow. Kansas Day club banquet invites exceed 409, to take place in Topeka January 19.

Barn Fire Destroys Rear Structure at Constitution Street
A blaze destroyed the rear barn on Constitution Street noon today. Residents say N Freiberg, a hermit, attempted to save belongings, carrying out window frames and tools amid flames. Fire crews fought the blaze as wind fanned flames. Freiberg's clothes were burned but the building was insured and neighbors reported cash hidden inside.

Adem Cling Hurt After Wagon Accident in Elk County
Old Willow Springs resident Adem Cling was thrown from a wagon in Elk County while visiting. Seriously injured, possibly fatally, he is staying with son in law Olvi C Ruse in Lewrence and expected to return home today after completing his Elk County visit.
