Lawrence district pitches no tax increase bond plan
The Lawrence school board advocated a no tax increase bond that would not raise property taxes for its bond and interest fund. The district also learned it was named to the College Board’s 2012 National Advanced Placement Honor Roll for expanding AP access and maintaining or boosting minority participation while raising the share scoring 3 or higher. In 2012, 438 Lawrence high school students took 699 AP tests, with 75.1 percent scoring at least a 3.
