Albert E. Bert Hitchcock born June 2 1932 on the family ranch in Kit Carson County Colorado died December 25 2012 at Brookside Retirement Community Overbrook Kansas. He married Delma Meall September 2 1956 in Cawker City Kansas and is survived by his wife children Steve Teri and Jodi and grandchildren Jordan and Sam Tankel along with siblings in law and nieces and nephews. Bert taught in Kansas schools and earned a master’s from Kansas State University later serving as a principal and actively participating in church and civic groups. Memorial services were held December 29 2012 at First United Methodist Church Baldwin City Kansas.
