Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach pressed a temporary injunction to bar gender marker changes on driver’s licenses while courts rule on Senate Bill 180. He argued the law enforces birth sex in state records, while opponents from the ACLU and Kansas Department of Revenue urged protection of self expression and identity to avoid outing transgender residents.
