War Hero Will Be Listed As Medal Winner Despite Father
Washington January 12. A young officer who died in Korea will be enrolled as a Medal of Honor winner despite his father's opposition to President Truman. First Lt. Robert M. McGovern, 23, awarded posthumously for extraordinary valor on January 20, 1950, was declared a Medal of Honor recipient even as his father refused to accept the honor for his sons. Four Men Injured In Two Car Collision At Intersection
Four men were injured in a two car crash at the 101k and Conn Streets intersection about 11 last night.
