Selma film review highlights personal drama in historic march
The critique argues Selma avoids hype by centering on Martin Luther King Jr and frontline activists, weaving many micro stories into a broader civil rights narrative. Ava DuVernay crafts a vivid history with jurassic relevance, showing FBI surveillance and ongoing voting rights battles after the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Selma and Inherent Vice reviewed by Scene Stealers
The review contrasts Selma with a balanced Selma moment showing MLK and LBJ amid voting rights struggles and violence. It also critiques Paul Thomas Andersons Inherent Vice as incoherent though with strong performances, noting Doc and Bigfoot banter and a scattered, drug fueled LA pursuit.
