City OKs urbanism project despite traffic and competition concerns

City commissioners approve a new urbanist plan near Free State High School despite objections from David Schauner and Mike Rundle over traffic and the 61350 square feet of retail space. Oklahoma wildfire disaster gets federal declaration

President Bush issued a federal disaster declaration for Oklahoma allowing immediate federal funding for affected individuals in 12 counties. FEMA said additional counties may be added as damage surveys continue. 380000 acres burned since November 1, with 220 structures destroyed and two deaths reported. Authorities in Texas seek a similar declaration.
