Nell E. Mitchell of Carlisle retired from the Army War College after 17 years as chief of the Bibliography Section. She plans to live with sister Edyth Salvesen in Lawrence and expects to travel and write about her Army experiences.
Mrs. Stanley Harris of Salt Lake City visits her mother Mrs. E. R. Acher and brother Don Acher with wife. She arrives Sunday and plans to return next Tuesday. Mrs. Neva Meinke at KU Medical Center Kansas City improving slowly and will stay several weeks. birthday January 16. Address room 33 B Medical Center 39th and Rainbow Blvd. Mrs. Edyth Salvesen returns from Pennsylvania trip. Sister Nell E. Mitchell travels with her to Lawrence. Mitchell retires as chief of bibliography at War College Library Carlisle Barracks and plans to live with Salvesen at 2514 Mont Street.
Thursday activities include City Council of Beta Sigma Phi at 8 p.m. with Mrs. Travis Glass. Mu Phi Epsilon alumnae event at 8 p.m. with Mrs. Richard Beahm. Lawrence Color Camera Club at 7 30 p.m. at South Park Recreation Center. KU Pharmacy Student Wives gathering in the Watkins Room of the Kansas Union. Friday schedules feature the Woman's Christian Temperance Union at 9 a.m. with Ida Lyons. Mercredi Club at 1 30 p.m. with Mrs. Ray Brewster. Helianthus Club at 1 30 p.m. with Mrs. Ralph J. Turner. Lawrence chapter of American War Mothers luncheon at 12 30 p.m. in the Police Fire Building. Niotas Club at 2 p.m. with Mrs. Roscoe Pine Route 3. University Club dinner bridge at 6 30 p.m. Saturday brings the Lawrence Writers Workshop at 2 p.m. in the Lawrence Public Library. Omicron chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma at 5 15 p.m. initiatory service at Virginia Inn.
