Five masked robbers seized the express car near this city, forced the messenger to open the safe, and fled after taking valuables. The raid lasted minutes, no significant money was recovered, and authorities pursued two suspects described as tall in a brown suit and a man in black.
Reports from White Rock bird camp describe the death of Iron Thunder, a courier who rode through Sitting Bull’s lines to unite police efforts.
