Regulators threaten riverboat games at Kansas City Sam's Town
Patrons at Sam's Town Casino vocally oppose a Missouri Gaming Commission move to discipline ten land bound boats in moats. They argue the state allowed riverboat games when basins were built and contend the rules should not change midstream. The dispute centers on the 1994 amendment and 1,000 foot basin rule. A lower court paused actions until January 22 hearing.
