Douglas County considers 20,000 square foot crisis center with detox unit
The county proposes a 20,000 square foot crisis center as part of a behavioral health campus on West Second Street near Bert Nash and Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Plans include a 12 bed coed transitional home and a 10 unit apartment complex with funding questions on a half cent sales tax to back the project and jail expansion, plus staffing details and licensure for the detox and sobering units managed by Heartland RADAC and DCCCA.
