Swatting described as dangerous prank calls to trigger SWAT action
Lawrence Police Department officials describe swatting as a dangerous prank that fabricates stories to prompt a full SWAT response. Internet calls and untraceable numbers complicate tracing, and costs, though not vast, still threaten community safety.
