Ammunition Dump Explosion Hits Qui Nhon Coast
A 10 hour series of blasts at a Qui Nhon depot on the central coast of South Vietnam destroyed over 5 000 tons of munitions and killed three South Korean workers. Fifteen thousand tons were in stockpiles with several types of ammunition. 33 American troops were killed last week and total US war casualties rise.

Pitchlyn Free On 500 Bond For Trial Here
Pitchlyn, 20, Kansas City Missouri, is out on 500 bond for a 3 p.m. January 15 trial on misdemeanor loitering and obstructing an officer charges. KU police said Pitchlyn and four other black youths entered Dread Book Shop at 10:30 a.m. and carried books by the armload. After manager Stewart Nowlin questioned them they allegedly threatened him. They returned at 12:30 p.m. and were arrested when Pitchlyn could not produce ID. Others identified as David Jackson Arthur Bronson and Ray King. a fifth youth fled. An officer allegedly drew a pistol but did not use it in the arrest.

Tonganoxie Grade School is closed today and will remain closed Friday due to a furnace breakdown. Superintendent T. L. Monninger said repairs are the priority and school will not start again until Monday. One felonious assault charge against Russell L Edmonds 29 922 Ky was dismissed and another amended to misdemeanor assault. Edmonds had 30 day jail sentence paroled.
