Kansas University students and Lawrence residents will be able to ski at Mont Bleu near Blue Mound five miles southeast of Lawrence. Opening is set for November 1965 after delays due to engineering and financial issues. Rabbit Hunting Season Opens With License Rule Reminder

Game protector George Schlecy of Lawrence says rabbits are in season now with a valid license required. The season was closed in parts of late fall but has been open since early December. Kansas regs set a daily bag limit of 10 cottontails and a possession limit of 20. jack rabbits have no bag limit. Shooting hours are half an hour before sunrise to sunset. Officers urge hunters to carry valid licenses before going out.
