Richardson Dies After Crash West of Victory Junction
Kansas City Missouri man S S Richardson died in Bethany hospital after a collision 14 miles west of town on U S highway 40 Friday. The crash near Victory Junction also killed J W Peeler of Denver and injured five others, three Leavenworth residents. Both Richardson and Peeler were tied to the White Motor Company. Also noted is the death of Jesse L Wood of Columbus Ohio, announced by his daughter Mrs E N Manchester, with burial planned in Maine after a seven year illness. Emporia Kan Jan death ends the brief retirement of Lloyd A Lowther who finished nearly 49 years as superintendent of Emporia schools last spring after turning 77.
