Family mourns as missing Maria Cabuenos found dead

Skeletal remains of 25 year old Maria Cabuenos were discovered in a shallow Tinicum Township grave on New Year’s Day. Bucks County investigators identified the bones with dental records and say death was caused by blunt trauma to the head. Paroled murderer Arthur Bomar, believed to have driven Cabuenos’ car, is the obvious suspect as authorities determine if she was killed in Bucks County or dumped there. The Cabuenos family had endured years of searching and even consulted psychics before the discovery.

A national survey shows 30 states with higher tax collections than projected this budget year, 18 on target, Alaska expected a decline, and Hawaii unresponsive. Surpluses from stock-market gains fuel optimism though only 13 states note unexpected costs, which can be covered by revenues. Lawmakers warn surpluses will drive political debate in austere times.
