Market tumble after three day rally shakes New York
New York stocks fell as the Dow dropped 10.24 to 1033.56 at 2 p.m. with declining issues leading advances on the NYSE. The broad NYSE index eased to 64.92 and the American Stock Exchange index fell to 26.59 as a large block trade in Supermarkets General moved a sizable share block. Ralph Acampora called the prior rally misleading due to a small number of issues leading the gain.
