Kansas Freshman Shot in Accidental .22 Caliber Incident
Albert Spence a 17 year old Kansas University freshman from Winchester was wounded when a .22 rifle accidentally discharged in a store room off Dr. Taylor's Snowhall office. The bullet entered his abdomen causing serious but not critical injuries after an operation at Watkins Memorial hospital. He cleaned the gun in September and is employed in the department on a CSEP present.
