More than 190 000 income tax forms will be mailed to Kansas taxpayers this week according to Harve H Molier Kansas tax collector. Forms will cover returns and filings begin after January. The State time limit for all returns is March 15.

Washington January 3 AP Terms of a protocol for conciliation in the Bolivia Paraguay dispute were agreed at a Pan American arbitration conference committee meeting. The instrument remains essentially as originally drawn. Mexico to replace Argentina in appointing judges to the international conciliation panel. Argentina refused such an obligation, citing broader Chaco Boreal mediation concerns.
The Supreme Court will review the proceedings that led to Harry F. Sinclair's conviction for refusing to answer questions before a senate committee. Arguments are set for February 18. Sinclair was sentenced to three months in jail and fined $500, and he appealed to the Court of Appeals which sought Supreme Court instruction on five legal questions.

Washington Jan 3 AP the Kellogg anti war treaty was taken up by the senate with no record vote on motion of chair Borah of the foreign relations committee. Hale explained the naval bill to authorize 15 cruisers and Borah led the floor amid gallery applause. Dawes gave the motion and there was no opposition. Leaders explained the prior consideration agreement for the treaty over the naval bill. The Senate expects two weeks of debate on both questions before moving to other legislation. Public lands committee weighs confirmation of Ray C. West as interior secretary and continues the Vare seating dispute. Reed campaign funds panel meets to review expenditures of Vare 1926 primary. The oath to Vare was not administered due to the committee’s preliminary report. Hoover arrives Sunday and farm relief questions loom. Senate agricultural chair McNary has a marketing measure backed by Jardine.
In Riverside on January 3, Judge George K. Freeman heard Gordon Stewart Northcott’s defense request a commission of experts and psychiatrists to examine his sanity. The motion followed a courtroom clash with the judge and an affidavit from Dr. Rullin Balboni stating Northcott's insanity.

Professor Alexander Martin Wilcox longtime Greek scholar at the University of Kansas died at his home in Lawrence after pneumonia. Born in Baltimore in 1849 he taught at KU from 1885 to 1928 serving as head of the Greek department and later curator of the classical museum. Survived by his widow Mina Elizabeth, daughter of the late James Marvin, and four brothers. Funeral at Plymouth Congregational Church with burial in Oaks Hill Cemetery.
In Los Angeles an eighteen year old flyer Miss Bobbie Traut set a new endurance record for women by piloting a small plane for 12 hours and 11 minutes. Her flight surpassed Viola Gentry’s previous mark achieved in New York on December 20 and ended with a night landing at Metropolitan airport at 6 36 p m amid cheering crowds.
