Addison Nedeau Confesses to Fatal Shot In New Year’s Killing
Addison Nedeau son of Special Officer Ed Nedeau surrendered to police and confessed to firing the fatal shot that killed Mrs. Clarence Potts as she rode home from a New Year’s dance. The elder Nedeau, a city detective, accompanied his son and described how a quick car maneuver led to the shooting. Prosecutors expect a manslaughter charge. Nedeau said he intended to shoot in the air and did not know Potts died until later. Mrs Potts, mother of two, died at Topeka hospital. Funeral services planned for Lyndon tomorrow afternoon.
