The XO $100 laptop aims to reboot learning in poor nations
The One Laptop Per Child project introduces the XO computer in Thailand, Libya and other developing countries. The device uses a 366 MHz AMD processor, 512 MB flash memory and no hard drive, with a Linux base and a unique journal interface called Sugar. Its design centers on collaborative learning, neighborhood discovery, and child oriented navigation rather than traditional office software.
