Trial for teen on murder charge set to begin next week
Lawrence teenager Derrick Del Reed faces a murder trial next week in Douglas County District Court. Prosecutors and defense counsel agreed on jury admissibility of information about a tip that located the gun, stipulating the tip did not come from Reed. Reed's attorney had planned to testify otherwise, but the judge denied that request.
