Embarq raises CEO Hesse after first stand-alone year
Embarq Corp based in Overland Park reports Dan Hesse received a 6.5 percent salary increase to 1 million for 2007 plus 1.27 million in short-term incentives and about 9,800 restricted stock units. The company, spun off from Sprint Nextel in May, posted 2006 earnings of 784 million or 5.21 a share and revenue of 6.36 billion. Wired access lines fell 6.1 percent to 6.9 million, an improvement from earlier guidance.
