Nixon taps University of Utah president for NASA chief

Deal Six Former Ag Agent Dies After Long Illness

Deal Six longtime Douglas County agricultural agent and Lawrence civic leader died Friday at Memorial Hospital after a lengthy cancer battle. He was 74. He retired as county farm agent in 1965 after 30 years and later worked in banking. Survivors include wife Gladys and two children. Miller Denies Publicity Tactics In Drug Raid

Miller told reporters the raid was not for publicity or political gain and that the investigation will continue with arrests and prosecutions. He said Lawrence was not the only target and that undercover agents remain active in multiple locations, with some off the case and others on it.
