P Edson M Walker, a Democratic precinct judge, received a two year prison term Thursday for election fraud and was told today by Federal Judge Merrill E Otis that five months in jail would follow on the attempted subornation of perjury conviction. Mrs Chice G Albright, a Republican judge, testified Walker asked her to alter a statement she gave to a federal agent. In Ottawa, Charles Hageman, ex assistant agricultural agent in Johnson county, moves to the federal soil conservation office and Franklin county farm bureau. Art McCleery and Ralph O Lewis, tied to the soil office here, are transferred to the Marshall county project.

Topeka February 27 judge Henry M Evans of the Topeka police court died from injuries after a motor car crash east of the city. Lawrence J Richardson, the injured driver, was in the car with Evans. Six Die In Farm Blaze At Danforth Michigan
Six persons were burned to death when a fire from an overheated stove destroyed the farm home of Nels Johnson in Danforth Michigan. Two others suffered serious burns. The dead include Mrs Nels Johnson and her three sons Arthur Robert Arnold, a daughter Ruth, and a granddaughter Barbara Williams. Injured are son Roy and daughter Evelyn. Nels Johnson was tending a sick cow in the barn when Roy awoke him around 1 30 a m and tried to rouse others but failed and escaped through a window.
