Parking attendants brave KU crowds with winter layers
Janet Kelly and 75 to 100 attendants guide cars to spots before Kansas University basketball games. Express Personnel and KU parking staff share duties while many lots are reserved for season-ticket holders. Attendants arrive three hours early, crowds come an hour before tip-off, and most depart as the game begins. Challenges include directing non ticket holders to limited spaces and keeping order as fans arrive. A shuttle from Memorial Stadium offers a $1 ride to the fieldhouse.
