Riderless horse kills woman at San Antonio arena
Mrs Edna M Doyle of San Antonio died instantly when a riderless path horse threw its rider Captain Eaw yenee Mickel of the Ninth Infantry and plunged over a railing during a game between the Ninth Infantry and a Houston team. Thirty six participants from Lawrence and North Lawrence churches and school groups gathered at Miss Nancy Longenecker’s home to discuss religious teaching in schools starting next fall. A committee was named to draft a program for junior high and lower grades, with a banquet to hear their report on March 7 and a week of teacher training planned from March 21. Denver AP report states Judge Ben B Lindsey founder of the citys juvenile court asked for a rehearing after a Colorado Supreme Court ruling ousted him for voting irregularities in one precinct.
