KU expands campus with new building and programs
The campus unveils a new building funded by the Johnson County Education Research Triangle tax. A bachelor’s in business administration is active, information technology is awaiting regent approval, and a professional science master’s in environmental impact or engineering project management could follow. An exercise science bachelor’s is possible, linking to KU Medical Center therapy programs. Partnerships with Johnson County Community College will aid transfers. The conference center will host up to 400 theater seats or 240 banquet seats, supporting campus rental growth and event hosting for KU and KU Medical Center. The rent revenue will pay down the bond.
