Auto crash victim from Kansas dies at Lawrence hospital
Wiver W. Rippetoe, 34, of Kansas, died at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after an early morning crash on Highway 40 east of Lawrence. He suffered crushed chest and multiple fractures when his eastbound car left the highway. A World War II veteran, he previously lived in Topeka and is survived by a child.
