Ford recalls 138000 cold weather cars in six states
Ford Motor Co recalls about 138,000 1992 to 1995 models including Ford Tempos Tauruses Sables Mercury Topazes and Lincoln Continentals in Alaska Iowa Minnesota Nebraska North Dakota and South Dakota. Engine cooling fan may overheat and catch fire during heavy winter winds and snow when defroster is on or fan activates, risking wiring damage and fires. About 40 reports of smoke or fires have been received.
