Douglas County will be required to send 77 men to the U S Army during the first two weeks of March. Bruce Cameron chair of the draft board announced calls of 30 men on March 2, 30 on March 3, and 17 on March 14. The board has enough preregistered men from Leavenworth to fill the orders. An instructional meeting was held at the draft board office in the Armory with Cameron Rev John E Bowers Neal M Wherry and others present. The advisory board will open a classification office in the Armory during third registration hours from 10 to 12, 1 to 4, and 7 to 9 six days a week.
