Pilot fined and plane seized for liquor transport in Ohio
In Zanesville Ohio Clinton R Hetlingenstein 22 of Detroit pleaded guilty to transporting liquor. He was fined 300 dollars and costs and his airplane valued at 4500 dollars was confiscated. He testified he picked up liquor from the Detroit river and delivered to A R Pfaff of Zanesville with warrants issued. He had earlier deliveries to Cleveland Toledo and other northern Ohio cities. He was held on 1000 dollar bond as a witness against Pfaff. The arrest followed a landing on a farm west of Zanesville where ten sacks were moved to two autos. A check for 928 bearing Pfaff's name was found. He admitted Zanesville delivery to Pfaff.
