On February 18 1885 Mark Twain published Adventures of Huckleberry Finn in the United States. In 1861 Jefferson Davis took the oath as Confederate president in Montgomery Alabama. In 1930 Clyde Tombaugh discovered Pluto, later a Kansas University student. In 1970 the Chicago 7 were acquitted of conspiring to incite riots at the 1968 Democratic convention.
