Douglas County eyes jail expansion and $11 million mental health campus
The referendum outlines a half cent sales tax plan funding an $11 million behavioral health campus, $5.1 million yearly for new programs, and $1 million yearly to operate expanded jail. Suspect in Pursuit Stops After PIT Tactically. AR-15 Seized
A deputy spotted an AR-15 in the front of a car with a sole occupant who fled after backup arrived. During a five minute chase through parking lots the driver struck a parked vehicle and nearly hit a pedestrian before a deputy used a controlled vehicle contact to stop the vehicle near 31st Street and Ousdahl Road. Wyatt was arrested. officers found the AR-15, over 1300 rounds of ammunition, methamphetamine and marijuana in the car. He faced multiple felonies and misdemeanors, bond set at 25000, and parole status noted. KSNT captured part of the arrest on video.
