Washington reports that Bernard Schwartz former House investigator now calls for a congressional probe of White House press secretary James Hagerty. He accuses Hagerty of political interference in an FCC decision about the Albany Schenectady WRGB station. Hagerty denies the charge. A London premiere features two nude blondes and a duke at Woburn Abbey in a film titled Nudist Paradise. The 3,000 acre estate hosts scenes of nudity with a nude-hero named Jimmy and a private showing set for Tuesday. Donald Zee calls the film the worst he has seen.
Kansas editor Ben Hibbs arrives in Lawrence to deliver the 10th annual William Allen White Lecture at Fraser Theater, Kansas University, and to receive the 1959 William Allen White Foundation national citation. He last visited KU in 1950 and plans a city tour if time permits.
Bill Pace, KU backfield coach and former Arkansas assistant, pulled his name from Drake University head football coach consideration. Everett Sonny Grandelius 29 was named coach of Colorado football succeeding Dallas Ward who was fired after 11 seasons. Grandelius had been backfield coach at Michigan State where he starred as a player.
