On Feb 8 1968 three black students were killed in Orangeburg during a civil rights protest at a whites only bowling alley. Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded in 1587 for involvement in a plot against Elizabeth I. The Russo Japanese War began in 1904 with an attack on Port Arthur. The Boy Scouts of America was incorporated in 1910. In 1989 a Boeing 707 crash killed 144 Italian tourists in the Azores. In 2007 Anna Nicole Smith died in Florida at 39 from an accidental drug overdose.
