A KLM DC8 bound for West New Guinea with Dutch troops aboard was refused landing in Tokyo and held in Anchorage Alaska. Tokyo cited technical reasons and Japan said it could not recognize the landing switch. The flight carried 68 soldiers en route to garrisons in Dutch New Guinea.

Macabre Death Suspect Found in Tex Mystery

A hatchet and knife found in his suitcase are being tested, while two boys found human ears near El Campo and a woman's torso was found near Cleveland in the same area.
