Lights delay faulting FAA over LaGuardia crash
New York authorities claim the Port Authority waited three years to build a pier and install approach lights at Runway 22 while FAA says an instrument landing system was authorized last July and delivery is due in October. Topeka Man Suffers Minor Rib Injuries
Gail L. Schoen, 27, of Topeka, sustained minor rib injuries when his car collided with a vehicle driven by Ann Dann, 17, of 1000 Sunset Dr. Schoen would have his ribs checked and did not require hospitalization. Damages were about $825. The crash occurred at 8th and Ill. Sts. Another collision involved Ralph M. Gutekunst, 23, of 1700 N. H. St. and Elmer Boucher, 18, of 1246 W. Campus. No injuries, damage about $550. Police reported four other minor accidents Thursday with no injuries.
