Lions swept by KC Harmon and SM West in home duals
Lawrence High lost to KC Harmon 45 to 35 and SM West 43 to 29 in the double dual at the LHS gym. Coach Jim Beltch noted late year pinning woes, as six Lions were pinned including Adrian Garcia who fell to Travis Hendrix after a 3:30 headlock. Gavin Garcia fought hard but could not deny the senior's experience. The Lions earned early points via forfeits in 112 and 125, but trailed 39-35 entering the final bout. SM West dominated eight of 14 matches while SM North and SM East await next week, ahead of Sunflower League districts.
