Free State Athlete Bowlin Named Youth of the Year
Free State senior Jon Bowlin, captain of both the football and baseball teams, was named the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence 2017 Youth of the Year. He earlier earned All-State and All-League honors and holds Free State’s longest football rush. Bowlin beat four rivals, with mentor Amy Hill praising his work ethic and humility during a Liberty Hall ceremony.
