County Treasurer Roy Flory reported the pre-penalty rush for 1943 automobile license tags ended at 10 40 last night. The office promised over 1 000 1942 Kansas tags for vehicles registered in other states but steel shortages prevent enough old plates. Many mail applications came from service men and conservationists. several hundred tags were sold by Baldwin and Eudora agents to Kansans who registered last year.
