Douglas County CJCC reviews pretrial monitoring progress

At a Monday meeting the Douglas County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council discussed progress on the electronic monitoring pilot, the proposed pretrial monitoring program, and the behavioral health court. The court now operates with 2017 funding and has begun accepting new defendants, diversions, and house arrest trials, while defense attorneys are being educated on policies and procedures to improve eligibility understanding.
