Lawrence and area offices and many public services will close Tuesday for New Year’s Day, with federal, state, and local offices shut, banks and transit halted, and residential trash collected one day later. Jonelle Hopp age 80 of McMinnville Oregon died December 27 2007 at Willamette Valley Medical Center. Services were held at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in McMinnville. She was born September 4 1927 in Brownsville Texas and married Henry Smith in 1947 and Arnold Hopp in 1989. Survived by three sons one daughter five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Memorials preferred to a charity of donor's choice in care of Macy Sons Funeral Directors.
