Tax Slashes May Top Four Billion, Heller Says

Walter Heller, chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, told ABC that the administration seeks more than a $4 billion tax cut in the new Congress. He urged a substantial reduction, with lower brackets, higher rate cuts above 65 percent, and corporate relief as part of a big balanced program. Montana Crash Kills 6 Persons

A predawn collision between a grain truck and a Greyhound Scenicruiser bus sent the bus into the ice filled St. Regis River killing six people including four passengers, the driver, and one truck crewman. About 20 others were injured and hospitalized as rescue teams worked with blow torches to free victims. The Spokane based bus left Spokane with 41 aboard and driver J. B. Mayer was identified.
